David was born in Shreveport on December 2, 1965 and passed away on January 27, 2018 after suffering a series of seizures. David was raised in Shreveport, the youngest of 4, and during his freshman year of college he met the love of his life, Carlene, at their church youth group. They married in 1987 and eventually made their home in Benton, LA. David was a consulting forester for the family business and enjoyed spending time in the woods surrounded by nature.
The most important part of David's life was his children, Christian and Emilie. He loved them unconditionally and spent his life making them a priority. "Mr. Dave" was the neighborhood dad that loved to play with the kids, and that was evident by all the kids handing out in the dirt pile in our backyard. There was no place else he would rather be than with his kids!
David was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Lee Mudd. He is survived by Carlene, his wife of 30 years, son Christian and wife Brittany, daughter Emilie, and the brightest spot in his life, grandson Reed. David is also survived by his brother, John, sisters, Linda and Susan and their spouses, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Brown, Jon Schultz, Alden Curry, David Lee Holland, Matt Holland, and Jason Holland
