SHREVEPORT, LA ''' Services to honor the life of Dave R. Evans, 60, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Murry Hodge of Summer Grove Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. The family will receive guests on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dave passed away at his home on March 31, 2015, following a lengthy illness. He was born October 24, 1954, in Dallas, TX and was a resident of Shreveport. Dave was the owner, along with his wife Kim, of Tiger Town. In addition to his love of Tiger Town, Dave enjoyed fishing and playing in the Summer Grove Baptist Church Orchestra where he had been a member for more than 30 years. He was a graduate of Andrews High School in West Texas and had attended college at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX and East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX. Dave was a wonderful husband, father, and son who will be deeply missed.

Dave is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kim McCoy Evans; daughter, Ashley Sabins and husband, Robert; parents, Roy D. and Dolores Greene Evans; sister, Debbie Wood and husband, Curtis; sister-in-law, Gale Funderburk and husband, Bobby; brother-in-law, Bruce McCoy; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Stephen McCoy, Bobby Funderburk, Paul Tinker, Curtis Wood, Jared Tippett, and Ricky Greene.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Robinson Pet Rescue, Ninna's Road to Rescue, or the charity of choice.
