Shreveport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Jack Lafitte, 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 22, 2017 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the funeral home.
Jack was born on December 22, 1931 in Shreveport, LA to Revie and Lela Lafitte. He served two years in the United States Army and then returned home where he started his 43 year career at Industrial Roofing and Sheet Metal and retired as Superintendent. For 11 years, Jack and his wife enjoyed his retirement at their lake home on Toledo Bend. He loved fishing and making homemade jellies and salsa for his family and friends. Mr. Jack volunteered at the War Veteran's Home in Bossier City for over a year.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Hattie Lafitte; three sisters; grandson, Zachary Murray and great great granddaughter, Kassidi Jade Ebarb.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Jack is his wife of 63 years, Peggy A. Lafitte; daughters, Deborah Lafitte and Rebecca Murray; grandchildren, Joely Vetkoetter(Mike), Jason Ebarb(Amy) and Cody Brian; great grandchildren, Jason Ebarb, Jr., Jordan, Skylar, Sarah, Eli and Mia Ebarb; great great grandchildren, Nolan Ebarb, Tristin Martin and Addison Logan.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Ebarb, Sr., Jason Ebarb, Jr., Cody Brian, Cody Martin, David Toothman and Tommy Gay.
Jack had such a loving and giving heart and provided so much for his family. We all will be forever grateful.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Gary Williams and the Guest House Staff for the care they provided to Jack.
