SHREVEPORT, LA - Mae Winberry Elkins went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 15, 2017. Graveside services will be held at Centuries Memorial Park on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Rachel McConnell-Switzer and Rev. Theresa McConnell. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home prior to the graveside service.

Mae was born January 22, 1934, in Hope, AR and was preceded in death by her parents, Beurl Winberry and Opal Hollis Winberry; and son, Jimmy Bray. Left to cherish...

Mae was born January 22, 1934, in Hope, AR and was preceded in death by her parents, Beurl Winberry and Opal Hollis Winberry; and son, Jimmy Bray. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James "Jim" Elkins.

Mae was a member of Summer Grove U.M.C. for over 30 years and an active member of Friendship Class. She was a wonderful mother, homemaker, and a dear friend who was always "doing for others".

Her special friends were Alice Broome, Mary O'Con, Florence Bison, and LaJuana Goldsby.
