Martha Nell Hosch Myre went peacefully to be with her Lord on November 21, 2016, after being surrounded by loving family, friends and caregivers 24/7 during the last year. Visitation will be from 10am-12 noon, and "Homegoing Service" will begin at 12 noon on Saturday, November 26, 2016, at Kings Temple United Pentecostal Church, 8951 Kingston Road, Shreveport, LA.

Martha Nell Hosch was born April 10, 1928, to Rev. Lonnie J. Hosch and Katilee Vernon Hosch in the town of Louan, Arkansas. Raised in the home of a great Pentecostal preacher, she and her six siblings (Naomi, Louise, James, Mary, T.W., and Becky) were much loved and in turn, had great love and respect for their wonderful parents. Martha was baptized in the Name of Jesus and received the Holy Ghost at a very young age, and continued in obedience to His Word, truly loved the Lord and wanted to please Him above everything. Martha Nell met Hulon Myre at Southern Bible College in 1946, in Milford, Texas. They were married on July 21, 1946, in Hillsboro, Texas, and spent 46 wonderful years together, their lives devoted to the service of the Lord Jesus, and to loving their family and others. Their love for the Gospel carried them many miles in evangelism, pastorates, and much international overseas travel throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Martha was such a beautiful, family-focused mother who often said "next to the Lord Jesus, I love you children more than you will ever know!" Even in instruction and discipline, she raised six children without raising her voice. She was a lady in every sense of the word, and will continue to be loved, admired and respected for so many wonderful and Godly qualities, only a few being: graceful, hospitable, joyful, long-suffering, temperate, peacemaker, prayerful, fun, funny, gentle, faithful, trustworthy.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Rev. Hulon Myre, one grandchild, Brooke, and three siblings-Naomi Caldwell, Louise Guillory, and James Hosch.
Left to cherish her memory are two sisters--Mary Russell, Becky (Rev. Gary) Sylvester, one brother--T.W. (Carol) Hosch, and her six children, often and lovingly referred to by her as her "six wonderful children: Hulon "Roger" (& Charlotte) Myre, Rev. Robert Lowell "Bob" (& Donna) Myre, James & Sharon Myre Seaton, Paul V. & Galyn Myre Webb, Rev. Rick & Von de Leigh Myre Robinson, and Cynthia Myre Welch. Grandchildren - Reggie(Misty), Jonathan(Shelley), Jason, Caronda(Craig), Kyran(Darren), Jana, Jamey(Courtney), Amber(Kevin), Paul(Kim), Marte(Kelly), Mandy(Bryan), Chip(Britney), Chad(Tracy). Great-grandchildren: Ryan, Alexis, Hunter, Hudson, Hayden, Jared, Katelyn(Jason) Allison, Kayla, Chason, Isabella, Cassidy(Brian), Caleb(Abbye), Chayden, Kylei, Kallyn, Sterling, Korbin, Kalee, Kate, Alayna, Austin, Elizabeth, Evelyn, Eli, Megan, Zachary, Alston, Victoria, Landon, Marleigh Jo, Nathan, Levi, Landry, Luke, Londyn, Bree, Ryder. 4 great great-grandchildren: Paisley, Kylee, Jaxon, Khloe.
