Mooringsport, LA- Funeral services celebrating the life of Sandra Lee Schuler, 72, will be held at 10 am Saturday, July 15, 2017 in the chapel of Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Officiating will be Keith Tarkington. Interment will follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home.

Sandra was born on November 16, 1944 in Franklin, Pennsylvania and passed away on July 10, 2017 in Shreveport, LA. She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Mrs. Schuler worked for the Willis Knighton Health System for 25 years as an EMT in the Emergency Room. Sandra's hobbies included knitting, watching dirt track racing, going to classic car shows, drive in movie theaters, roller skating, dancing, traveling, collecting Star Trek memorabilia and anything with angels and the Lord (plaques, crosses and needlepoint). She enjoyed sightseeing and driving through the back roads on Pennsylvania with her husband. Sandra loved the Lord and was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Schuler met the husband and the love of her life, Elmer Theodore Schuler in Oil City, Pennsylvania in 1958 and they were married on April 4, 1964.
Mrs. Schuler was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Evelyn Blum and her brothers, Jerry, Larry and Kevin.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Sandra is her husband, Elmer Theodore Schuler; children, Steven Theodore Schuler and Terri Lee Dennington; sister, Glenna Jean Rex; grandchildren, Hailey Elizabeth Bennett, Aaron Zane Gray and Kayla Brianne Gray and one great grandson, Connor Lee Richardson.
Honoring Mrs. Schuler as pallbearers will be: Lane Butler, Garrett Butler, Thomas Monahan, Stephen Gayer, Tommy Gayer and Tom Hughes.
